Summer = Play

A lot of kids from 0-99 play when it's summertime. It could be any form of play. Some prefer to play actively whether it's inside or outside. My 5-year-old and 3-year-old are so different when it comes to playing.

My husband and I love video games, it was very easy to assume our children would too. My older one took to gaming a lot faster than we intended. ^^" Kyle and I planned that his first game will be Pokemon Fire Red (or a remake for whatever console is available) when he's 10. We didn't take into account that he would be independently reading by 4! So, last year, he started playing Pokemon Let's Go Eevee and Pokemon Blue (yes, on the old Gameboyboy). Granted, he hasn't finished both games -- I mean he was just 4 then. Since then he has defeated Super Mario Odyssey 6 times, and Cuphead twice.

My 3-year-old like any other younger sibling is interested in everything his big brother is playing. Everything. If you don't pay attention to him, he will take your phone and throw it, cover it, or turn the computer off (ask Kyle). XD He will sit and watch, or play (when bubby lets him) but he will fidget. He bounces, runs around, and everything. His favorite past time right now is to hand you a weapon (toy), so he can hit you. We have a rule in the house that you cannot hit anyone who does not have a weapon -- so he found a loophole. His favorite weapon -- a shovel.

Daddy has been busy with mobile games unless it's the weekend when he tries to play PC games with his brother. (I am not saying he doesn't do anything else, but we're talking about games, so yes.)

This mommy on the other hand is playing Sims 4 while waiting for the Pokemon Isle of Armor update. I play some DS games and Love Nikki on the side. My type of game is story-driven games.

Every day, we play together actively. We've played the floor is lava, hide and seek, some roughhousing (that's a Kyle and the boys' thing), and story-tell with some open-ended toys.

$5 A Bag Book Sale?! What!?

The Owensboro had an event last Saturday. $5 a bag, any size bag, used book sale! Yes, it's real. I thought I was dreaming when I heard about it too. My Mom's friend Katrina sent the ad to me thru MMS, and I'm so glad I had my 4G on at that time -- I normally have it off, unless I just really want to check something on the internet when we don't have wifi.

It was from 9am-3pm, and I there at 2:30pm. Why? Because there were important stuff happening that morning, and then we were out of gas and then *hyperventilates*

ANYWAY, we got there with 30 minutes to make it. I told Kyle, "If I don't get more than 6 books, we're not buying."

Baby Llyr's 1st haircut!

May 3, 2016, Llyr's 19months and he finally gets his first haircut.

The Filipino-style 1st haircut would have been a buzzcut, but Americans do it differently. Noooo, they would not let me. They love baby curls A LOT. Haha. I really wanted Llyr to be like a Shaolin baby, maybe when he's 2 or 3 then.

^{Anyway he did NOT like getting a haircut. Mind you we went there prepared; snacks, toys, drinks, you name it Lola and I have it.}

He's not so little anymore!

Llyr is a year old!

He's been wonderful! He's sleeping longer, he's playing by himself (for like 10minutes), and he's drinking more from cup with straws than bottles. He's been a really good boy. He loves to cuddle at night, which makes weaning him a bit hard -- but he is just so adorable.

I feel a bit guilty because for his birthday, I was a bit busy. Last night, I lie awake, and think about how I didn't spend the entire day with and for him. I had something to do around lunch, and didn't see him until 2:30pm, and then we went out and at night, I did something for the weekend, so I was not able to play with him until he went to sleep. He was put to sleep by his daddy so I can finish what I was doing. T^T

Today, I shall play, cuddle, dance, sing, run, bike, and feed him.

SLEEPLESS WORLD

I'm supposed to be doing 2 things right now.
1. Sleeping
2. Relaxing
But I can't. xc

1. I can't sleep because I have to take care of my man, and my little man. They both have a fever T-T

2. I can't relax because I'm so anxious about the changes that I am and will be encountering in my life. Getting worse because I can't talk about it (yet).
So yeah. My sleepless nights are far from over. Anyway, I've signed up for the sleepless world when I decided I will be a mom. And that's the good part to all this. :.ﾟ٩(๑˘ω˘๑)۶:.｡

PARENTING

I have taken my Professor's advice about letting time have my emotions die down a bit before writing stuff down. So that when you read back on it -- it's less yucky, and tormenting. Having a clearer perspective on something that you are subjective about so you can be objective about it.

My husband and I (I finally got used to saying this without cringing xD) --

Happy 8 Months Baby Kristofer Llyr

It's so fast!

Whenever I played Sims 3 (a lot) I was always so bored at the unmoving potato on the crib until it magically transforms into a toddler! Holy gosh that escalated quickly!

So on to the actual post.

Little Tokyo 2014

I've been wanting to eat Japanese food from Little Tokyo's grocery places from when I was 5 months pregnant with my son. The thing is my friends didn't have the time, and well -- I don't want to go by myself.

So now, Llyr's out ^^;, and I have gone there last time with my cousin Jona, my husband, and my baby. I do not have pictures though because I had the baby the entire time, and he didn't want me to not hold him (he has a bag carrier thing, but he didn't wanna be there at that time). It was a lot of fun and we went to a cafe a bit far from there too -- but like I said; no photos. So I didn't blog about it. My cousin has some pictures on her facebook though.

Llyr has this tendency to know when I'm eating or planning to eat, also it's the same when he knows I will use my phone to surf the net or play games at night -- and he will, with all of his might, resist the urge to sleep and just cry until I stop whatever it is I am doing and instead hold him with both of my hands. ; 3; If he's already asleep, and I try to have one hand free and play or use the net or eat -- oh yes! He will wake up and complain that I don't have my full attention on him. I love my son ♡♡♡ he's a smart boy.

So this time, I MADE sure that I would have all the pictures I want.

Baby Kristofer Llyr's 15th Day!

I could not really blog, play games, read manga, go on tumblr, and facebook since Llyr has been born. It's not bad, but I just feel like this blog post is overly late.

I'm plastered to my baby as he is to me so, I decided to look for another blog app, and tested it yesterday actually.

Llyr was born September 15, 2014. He was 3.25kg and 53cm. He's quite long, so he looks a bit skinny compared to Filipino babies with the same weight.

He eats and sleeps a lot. He's quite nocturnal though.


Look at that angry face.


And that big yawn.


I completely adore him.
